TRY Privacy Policy

Applies to: The Recalibration Years (TRY) run by me, Mischa Douglas, a sole trader based in Melbourne, Australia (52 914 040 110).

What I collect and why

I take your privacy seriously, and I want this policy to be as clear as the rest of the site. I only collect what I need, when you choose to share it:

  • Contact form: your name, email and message, so I can reply.

  • Register-interest forms: your name, email and any optional answers, so I can tell you when something opens and shape it around what people need.

  • Guide purchases: your name, email and order details, so I can deliver your purchase and keep business records. Payments are processed by Stripe. I never see or store your card details.

  • Email updates: if you subscribe, your email address, so I can send you new articles and occasional news. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.

  • Website analytics: Squarespace collects general information about visits, such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location, using cookies. I use this to understand what’s useful. It doesn’t identify you personally to me.

Please be careful with what you share in open answers. You don’t need to tell me anything personal or sensitive, such as health details, to register interest. If you choose to, I’ll treat it with care and use it only to understand what support might help.

Who else handles your information

I use a small number of trusted services to run TRY:

  • Squarespace: website hosting, forms, checkout and analytics

  • Stripe: payment processing

These services may store information outside Australia, including in the United States. Each has its own privacy policy, and I choose services with strong security practices.

What I never do

  • I never sell your information.

  • I never share it with advertisers or other businesses for their marketing.

  • I don’t use your information to make automated decisions about you.

How long I keep it

I keep your information only for as long as I need it for the purpose you shared it, or as required for business and tax records. You can ask me to delete it at any time.

Your choices

You can ask to see the information I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email me at hello@therecalibrationyears.com and I’ll respond within 30 days.

If you have a concern about how your information has been handled, please contact me first, and I’ll do my best to put it right. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Keel, the perimenopause companion app, is a separate product with its own privacy policy, which covers how the app handles your information.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
